A routine duty turns into a life-threatening act of self-defense for police officer Kappler (49) when, after 30 years in service, he has to use his gun against a person for the first time. From 2000 he worked as 1st AD for directors Jan Krüger and Horst Königstein and also as reader for German arthouse distributor Prokino. Torben studied film directing at prestigious University of Television and Film Munich where he also attended the advertising and commercials masterclass. “Shattered“ is his thesis film.
